Original print is of inferior quality. Photograph article dated May 11, 1962 partially reads, "Are leaders born? Trained? Or do they arise out of recreational and educational experiences? Six boys and nine girls from Valley Cities Jewish Community Center in Van Nuys are making it their objective to answer these questions through a training program the center offers. Called CLITS, Club Leaders in Training, the six-month program is designed for teenagers between 15 1/2 and 17 1/2 who show promise of leadership ability. Combing both theory and practice, these 15 students meet twice a month for lecture sessions and spend 1 1/2 hours a week practicing what they learn with the center’s junior clubs." CLIT member, Dave Kurz, helps boys with scrapbooking.; See images #00131596 through #00131598 for all photos in this series.
