Photograph of the first house in South Pasadena, Los Angeles, ca.1900. An elderly woman and gentleman stand with the attention of a younger couple, the man of which is holding a bicycle upright by its handlebars. A huge wash of roses blooms over their heads, clinging to the house, which is just barely visible behind it. Picture file card reads "O.R. Doughtery who ran a shoe store in Pasadena, owned 10 acres in South Pasadena and was one of the first inhabitants of this rancho."
