Description
Pacific Electric Railway streetcar no. 1052 on the Venice line in Santa Monica, California. Signs on the front of the streetcar read "Venice Short Line," and "limited to vineyard."
This is a copy negative (a photograph of another photograph). "Pacific Electric car, Venice" is a note from Ernest Marquez written on envelope as it was received. Title based on note from Ernest Marquez; date devised by cataloger based on design of the streetcar. The Pacific Electric Railway's Venice Short Line route was discontinued in 1948. (erha.org)
