Photograph of the exterior of the Palace of the Escandon family, Mexico City, Mexico, ca.1905-1910. The second story arched balcony over the main entrance supports a portico. A stone balustrade lines the perimeter of the roof. A few small trees are planted in the small front yard. Awnings shade several second story windows. A large group of people are on the sidewalk and the street in front of and to the side of the palace. A streetcar is at left. Legible signs include: "Central Mexicano Oficina de coleto, Ticket office [...] Estados Unidos, Canada y Europa, [...] To all points of the United States, Canada and Europe, pullman, Palace [...] room, sleeping cars, on all through trains"..., streetcar: "S. Cosma, S. Maria", "47", ..."carriles del cistrito".
