This photograph is contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco."
Text written under photo: "Pacific Iron Foundry, Mission St. opposite Minna St. 1880." Mission Street runs parallel to Minna. According to 1879-80 San Francisco City Directory, address of Pacific Iron Foundry was 127-135 First Street which would place it opposite Minna. Photo shows three-story foundry building with employees posed in front, along with large pipe fittings.
