Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated April 28, 1961 partially reads, "A long-time Valley newspaper vendor was killed in North Hollywood early this morning when a car threw him from his motor scooter into uncoming traffic. Charles Arillas Stoneburner, 13965 La Maida St., Sherman Oaks, was pronounced dead on arrival at Valley Doctors Hospital, North Hollywood, following the 1:30 a.m. accident at Laurel Canyon boulevard and Vanowen street. Booked on suspicion of manslaughter was Elsie Louise Rhea, a 43-year-old Sun Valley entertainer. According to traffic officers G. N. McQuown and R. B. Houk, the woman rammed Stoneburner's scooter moments after he stopped at the intersection. Both were going north on Laurel Canyon boulevard."
