Bust-length portrait. 2010-5351. Born in Joliet, Illinois in 1831. Arrived in California in 1852 where settled in Sacramento. Spent time in the gold mines. In Sacramento, operated extract manufacturing firm, Scott & Son. Served in the Civil War, First Board of Trade Regiment of Chicago. Married Mary Elizabeth Lewis, in 1856. Died in 1911 in Oregon.
