Description

Photograph caption dated May 30, 1956 reads "Johnny Rackin, 12, of the Kris Kristenson Swim School will seek another national record, this time in the 50-yard free style, when the first annual Encino Swim School swimming meet is held June 9 and 10. The present mark is 26.5 seconds. He already has set a national 100-yard free style mark of 58.4s. Those 'earrings' Johnny is wearing are the water dripping of [sic] his ears."
