Description
Image of three men and a woman standing between large trees with a rowboat and ship in the water in the background and vignettes of head-and-shoulder portraits of characters from the play framed in the branches of the trees including images of two girls, a baby, an older sailor, an older man smoking a pike, and two young men; fragment of a date sheet with show information for a November show at the Worcester Theatre; the poster advertises the domestic melodrama "Hearts of Oak" written by James A. Herne and David Belasco.
Probable date approximated by cataloger based on show history; the play was first performed in 1879 and performed regularly into the 1880s. "W.J. Morgan & Co. Lith. Cleveland, O."--text, bottom margin centered. "Worcester Theatre, Monday, November [?] / One Night [Only]"--text, bottom margin centered.
