Title
Pastor Hans Peter Hansen Kampp (1888-1963). Udsendt af Dansk Santalmission til Nordindien, 1915-54. I 1918 gift med Signe Kampp (1893-1982), udsendt 1918-54. Arbejdssteder: Dumka 1916, Kaerabani/Tilabani 1917, Benagaria 1920, Narainpur 1925-37, Nimasarai, Malda distrikt 1937-54.

Description
Rev. Hans Peter Hansen Kampp (1888-1963). Sent by Danish Santal Mission to North India, 1915-54. In 1918 married to Signe Kampp (1893-1982), sent by DSM, 1918-54. Working places: Dumka 1916, Kaerabani/Tilabani 1917, Benagaria 1920, Narainpur 1925-37, Nimasarai, Malda distrikt 1937-54. Signe & H. P. H. Kampp became from 1922 particularly pioneers for the mission work among the Bengali people groups, beginning in Narainpur and later in Nimasarai, Malda District – a work with big challenges due to political, cultural and religious tensions between the different groups of people. Significant for H. P. H. Kampp was his respect and openness towards the Bengali culture, religion and social conditions. His great insight of this area is also evidenced by several books written by him, in both Danish and Bengali language. From 1954-60 H. P. H. Kampp was member of the DSM Board.
