Photograph caption dated February 25, 1964 reads, "Four-year-old Ronnie Kueffner of Pomona has been chosen Easter Seal Boy for the 1964 campaign of the crippled Children's Society of Los Angeles County. This is the first time a child has been named two years in succession. A year ago Ronnie - suffering a nerve system disorder - needed both braces and crutches in order to walk; this year he can make it on crutches alone. The 1964 Easter Seal campaign is from Feb. 29 to March 29. Volunteers will mail more than two million letters appealing for donations to support the society."
