Description
Photograph of photographer, George Wharton James, taking notes in a small notebook, Kingman, Arizona, ca.1902. James sits at center with a striped, woven blanket lying over the seat beneath him. He wears a dark vest and pants and compliments his bearded face with a wide hat. His jacket his draped over his right arm as he faces two men on the left and jots notes in a small notebook. The first man leans against the wall in a dark suit and hat while carrying what appears to be thin sword in his right hand. The second man wears a vest over his lightly-colored shirt and a small hat on his long, dark hair. A woman with disheveled hair and a shawl kneels over a large, round pot beneath a window on the right.
