Description: This study 1965 North Area Study was conducted by the Transit Authority of the City of Sacramento. It supplements the series of three reports completed by the W. C. Gilman and Co. of New York in 1963. Some of the study's recommendations include the creation of suburban transit lines, a K Street "bus mall," a "Park & Ride" program, the creation of a new bi-county transit district comprising Sacramento and Yolo counties, and a rapid transit system.
