Photo--Black and white: Nancy Blaisdell Graves Williamson (b. 26 Apr 1838; d. 18 May 1907 at Freestone, Sonoma Co., CA). Daughter of Franklin Ward Graves and Elizabeth Cooper. Born in Marshall County, Illinois she was 9 years old in 1846 when her family moved West joining what was to become the Donner Party. Nancy was the youngest survivor of that ill fated group. On 13 Feb 1855 she married Richard Samuel Wesley Williamson a Methodist preacher. As a result of his ministry appointments the couple set up homes in 22 different Northern California communities before settling in the Freestone area. Their creekside ranch at the foot of O'Farrell Hill was designated as the site of church camp meetings. They raised nine children: George Wesley, Elizabeth, Emilie Lavina, Kate Laura, Frederick Franklin, Eva Angeline, Lydia Pearl, Phillip, Eunice. Their son Frederick married Matilda Thomas of Green Valley.
