Description
Black and white photograph of the front view of The Bivouac (2401 Wilshire Boulevard), former residence of Harrison Gray Otis at completion in 1898. Pillar made of bricks to left of photo, with partial view of wooden barrel next to it. Driveway and front lawn visible, with trees and plants yet to be included. Clear view of house, with pillars at entryway. Partial view of two-story structure in left background. Photo is marked with crop lines, and "89.2" written near top right corner. Top left and right corners have dark triangular shadowing. Written on bottom of photo, "916 - Residence of Gen. Otis. Ed. of the Los Angeles Times" and "Park & Co. Photo" on bottom right corner. Related to Image Number 000143 (underexposed print).
