Description: The Pacific Palisades lighthouse was built as a bathhouse with a working light in 1927. In the early 1930s the structure along with the beach was sold to Will Rogers and later the beach was given to the state of California and renamed the Will Rogers State Beach.
The palisades of Santa Monica, looking north along Roosevelt Highway (Pacific Coast Highway). The Lighthouse bathhouse is visible in the distance at the end of Potrero Canyon, Pacific Palisades.
