Description
Reproduction of an advertisement that ran in the February 23, 1918 edition of The Saturday Evening Post. The tagline is "I cannot tell a lie -- I did it with my little can opener," featuring an illustration by Norman Rockwell, part of a series of ads created for the California Packing Corporation by the H. K. McCann Company (later McKann-Erickson, Inc.), San Francisco. The ad coincided with Washington's Birthday. A caption on the mount at the bottom of the ad indicates that it was presented to Mark H. Bagley.
