V1p170a -- v1p379c In PHOTO ALBUM-VAULT: ** fc917.9461 A3, Vol. I, page 170 top, page 379 bottom. These photographs are contained in one of two volumes by Dobbin titled "Album of San Francisco." Two copies of same photo, the second of which (page 379) shows slightly more on the right. View is looking across Main Drive at floral display in front of the Conservatory honoring the Native Sons of the Golden West. Display depicts the Bear Flag, the Seal of California, the American Flag, a Pioneer, an Indian, and two dogs. In one place the display reads "N.S.G.W. 1910." Text written under page 170 top: "Flower Carpet Bedding Golden Gate Park 1910 by Thos. Munroe. This valley is where first carriage concourse to original Music Stand was located." "18" written on photo. Text written under page 379 bottom: "Flower Carpet Bedding on slope in front of Conservatory Golden gate Park arranged by Thomas Munroe in honor of N.S.G. West visit to S.F. for annual convention 1910."
