Description
Scope/Content: Dr. Levy's draft and research notes on "Identification and Modification of Cells and Viruses of their Interaction in Tissue Culture." Biography/History: In 1970, Dr. Levy accepted an invitation to join the faculty of the Cancer Research Institute at UCSF. He established a laboratory, particularly for studying retroviruses, emphasizing xenotropic viruses that grow in non-human cells. They developed approaches to look for human xenotropic viruses using a variety of animal and human cells.
