Photograph caption dated April 29, 1964 reads, "Don Zimmer, peppery Washington Senator outfielder, safely touches first base after a headlong slide during the first inning of Monday's Angel game at Chavez Ravine. In the picture at right, Zimmer, who advanced on Don Blasingame's single, is already safe, touching the bag, while Angel pitcher Ken McBride (37) backs up third baseman Billy Moran (hidden by McBride). In the second photo, McBride cocks his arm too late to nail Blasingame at first, while Zimmer rests comfortably on third. No. 42 is Washington coach Ed Yost, and the umpire is Cal Drummond."
