Caption slip reads: "Photographer: Swaim. Date: 1958-07-04. Reporter: Swaim. Assignment: Playful lion. 17/18/19/20/25/26: Norman Payne, 28, feeding ground horse meat to, and wrestling playfully with, Taffy, 2 year old, 340 pound male African lion which is Payne's home pet, and which county planning board says he will have to get rid of". Note: "One neg. will be blank. I don't know which number".
