Description
Sign that reads: Post Cemetery Built in 1849. This United States Military Cemetery, formerly part of the Benicia Military Arsenal, is now under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense and interior. Gravestones date from the middle 1840s and in one corner are several graves of German and Italian prisoners from World War II. Maintained by the Sacramento Army Depot.
