Photograph caption dated March 29, 1956 reads, "Collects lilies for Easter Service. Mrs. Roderick R. Black of 6406 Beck Ave., North Hollywood, wires lilies contributed by Valley residents for Easter sunrise services at Hollywood Bowl Sunday. Valley flower chairman for the past four years, Mrs. Black said 5,000 lilies were donated last year. Donors may bring flowers to Mrs. Black's home before Saturday morning. Contributors receive free tickets to services."
