Description
Faux-crocodile case containing a single, small pencil. The pencil is taped to a card handwritten by Ralph Rambo, "And here 'tis. One room Doyle School 1901." Another small note reads, "The 'immortalized' 'penny pencil' in 'Remember When' pg. 5 11/1/65." The referenced text is included as a cut-out from Remember When: "What Misery! However there was the more pleasant chore of selecting an ornate pencil box, a ten cent compass and a dozen of those miserable, brown, natural-wood pencils with a helpless little eraser. While they only cost a penny each, they were still overpriced! When you sharpened one with a dull knife you ended with only a stub and a wild look in your eye!"
