Description: Several types of palms, banana trees, pines, and many other trees in Hollenbeck Park give it a tropical, lush, serene appearance. If one didn't know better, they would think they were walking through a park in Hawaii instead of Boyle Heights. Former Mayor of Los Angeles, William Henry Workman, donated two-thirds of the land once belonging to J. E. Hollenbeck to the City of Los Angeles.
