A house-to-house search was launched early today for clues in the slaying of two 6-year-old San Fernando girls whose near-nude bodies were found Monday night in an empty refrigerator near their home. Both had been criminally assaulted. San Fernando police chief Winford E. Slaughter said the only persons under investigation so far are 'not very likely suspects.' The girls were Stephanie Hanna, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hanna, 533 Harps St., and Paula Cram, a foster child living with the family. Police said the girls apparently had been dead for about five hours when Slaughter discovered their bodies at 11 p.m. in the garage of Mrs. Leonora Greenfield, 551 Harps St. Photograph shows the Coroners' investigators securing the body of one of the murdered six-year-olds onto the stretcher.
