Aerial view of Excelsior Union High School, located at 15711 Pioneer Blvd. in Norwalk; view is looking northwest. Pioneer Blvd. is diagonally, lower left to upper right; Alondra Blvd. is diagonally, middle left to bottom right (in front of the school); Barnwall St. is diagonally, upper left to middle right; Excelsior Drive is diagonally, top left to upper right, with Gerdes Park just behind it; and Maidstone Ave. is diagonally from middle left to top right (behind football field). Two churches are located at upper right: at 15213 Pioneer Blvd. (today it is the Hindu Temple Swaminarayan Mandir Isso), and at 15333 Pioneer Blvd. (today it is the Church of Christ). Excelsior Union High School cornerstone was laid 1923. Photograph dated April 12, 1960.
