On July 7, 1958 a Superior Court jury condemned Weldon W. Norman to life in prison without possibility of parole. He was convicted of kidnapping and criminal attacks on women in Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. Photograph caption dated March 22, 1958 reads, "Weldon Walter Norman, 29, has been booked at Van Nuys Jail as suspected kidnap-attacker of 25 women. Norman was arrested in Monterey Park by an off-duty Los Angeles police officer."
