Photograph was edited for publication purposes. The Streamline Moderne style Hollywood Park, built in 1937, was located at 1050 South Prairie Avenue in Inglewood. It was designed by architect Stiles O. Clements and landscape architect Edward Huntsman-Trout. Later additions to the park were designed by Fred Barlow, Jr. In 2012, the property was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park. The park closed in May, 2013 and development of a football stadium complex began in October, 2016. Photograph caption dated October 3, 1964 reads "Biff Lowry, asst. general manager of Western Harness Racing Assn., helps lovely Arlene Charles into a set of driving colors, part of her garb as Girl of the Golden West. Arlene will reign over the seven-week sulky season which begins Tuesday and continues through Nov. 21 at Hollywood Park." The racetrack is in Inglewood.
