Photograph caption dated May 29, 1965 reads, "Members of Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) last night picketed Mayor Samuel W. Yorty's Studio City home to protest his opposition to anti-poverty plans. Singing 'freedom songs,' some 20 pickets disturbed neighborhood."
