There are two other Alpha Beta markets in the Valley, in North Holywood [sic] and Northridge, with two others under construction, in Granada Hills and Canoga Park. Assisting in the ribbon-cutting ceremonies at the 19,500-square-foot Sylmar store, the major establishment in a new shopping district, are Frank Fese, director, Sylmar Chamber of Commerce; A. G. Rasmusson, chamber treasurer; Mary Ann Davis, Miss Sylmar; Robert G. Kramer, vice president of chamber; Cleatus Bonds, manager of store; Fred Cantrell, assistant to vice president of Alpha Beta operations, and Max Terhune, honorary mayor of Sylmar."
