Description
Program for the historic pageant, "So Dawned a State," written by Fred Gray. The pageant was held to commemorate the meeting of the First State Legislature 100 years earlier in San Jose. The pageant was perfomed at the San Jose Municipal Auditorium on December 15, 16 and 17, 1949. Comprised of four pages.

Master images scanned at 300 dpi and scaled to 6000 pixels on the longest side. Bit depth: grayscale at 8-bit; color at 24-bit. Images compressed to 800 pixels across the long dimension and to JPEG format. Scanning outsourced to Luna Imaging Inc. as part of an LSTA Grant funded by the California State Library in 2003-2004. Scanning hardware is unknown.
