Image shows view of the Charles Henry & Cora Belle Cheney residence, located on Via del Monte on lots 15, 16, 17, & 18, block 1615, tract 6884 in Malaga Cove. View looking northwest shows front of the two-story, stucco house with tile roof, chimney and attached two-car garage. A stucco wall follows an unpaved section of Via del Monte along front of house. A long balcony overlooks front yard. Santa Monica Bay and Santa Monica mountains are visible in background. Charles H. Cheney (1884-1943) was city planner for the Palos Verdes Project and served on the Palos Verdes Art Jury from its inception in 1922 through 1940. The home was sold in 1934, and later owned by Horton Walkins (nd.)
