A serene lake commands the foreground, bordered by shrubs on the right and on the left and by tree branches from the top and twigs below; on the left shoreline near the center stands a man looking into the lake; on the right shore two trees from the center appears to sit a woman on a log.
"Twin Lakes, surrounded by beautiful Oaks. The lakes form a mirror. By inverting the picture it is difficult to tell which is right side up." Twin Lakes were located on Charles M. Weber's ranch, located southeast of San Jose.
