William Surrey Hart was born in 1864 in New York to father born in England and mother born in Ireland. Began stage career in 1888, entering film in 1914. In addition to acting, worked as producer, director and screenwriter. Viola Vale was born Violet Irene Smith in New York in 1897. Entered film about 1912, retired from screen in 1927. Gertrude Claire was born in 1852 in Chicago. Acted on stage; began working in films in New York before moving to Hollywood. Died in 1928. Robert McKim was born in 1886 in San Francisco. Worked in stage, with Alcazar Stock Company, in vaudeville, was one of founders of National Vaudeville Artists. Died in 1927.
