Description: View from the north of the Griffith Park observatory and planetarium with the Astronomers Monument, designed by Archibald Garner. The building was constructed between 1933 and 1935. The monument on the front lawn was built in 1934. Lawns and walks have been installed, but have not had long to grow up. Architects: John C. Austin and Frederick M. Ashley.
