Mary Pickford was a Canadian-born silent film actress, famously known as "America's sweetheart," co-founder of American Artists film studio, and one of the original founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Buddy Rogers was an actor and a jazz musician.
Photograph caption dated September 19, 1951 reads "Mary Pickford and her husband, Buddy Rogers (left), drew rounds of applause from the spectators as they entered." The two are shown at the premiere of 'A Streetcar Named Desire' at the Warner Brothers Beverly Theater.
