John Naber was the most decorated U.S. Olympian at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games: he won four gold medals and one silver while setting four world records. At USC, he helped the Trojans win four NCAA championships under legendary coach Peter Daland. "The secret to swimming is not how far you swim, and it's not how hard you swim," Daland once said. "The secret to swimming is how far you're willing to swim hard." Photo dated: June 2, 1976.
