Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated November 20, 1953 reads "Death at dusk. In the early evening when the night watch cars are just rolling out from Van Nuys station, there may be calls regarding auto accidents, or a hit and run involving a careless pedestrian, whose desire to 'get home early' led to a tragic delay." Valley Police headquarters was located at 6240 Tyrone Avenue, Van Nuys.
