Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Altadena residence of Colonel George G. Green, owner of the Hotel Green, [s.d.]. The two story house can be seen in the background at center. It has wooden walls and a covered balcony is visible over the porch. A wide set of steps leads up to the porch at center. The base of the building at right is made of stone, and a brick chimney sticks up from the roof at center. In the foreground is a landscaped garden full of a variety of small bushes and trees. A low stone wall encircles the garden, while dirt paths run through it. The architect was Roehrig. Later this became the site of the Altadena Library on the southwest corner of Santa Rosa Avenue and Mariposa Street.
