Description
Photograph of a view of Broadway looking south from Fifth Street, Los Angeles, 1928. The eight-story highrise of the Title Guarantee Building stands prominently to the left of Broadway, with the Broadway Arcade Building visible five buildings into the distance. Automobiles and pedestrians navigate the road, with three people visible standing at left, in the middle of the street, one of them reading a newspaper. A clock hung above the entrance to the Title building reads roughly ten minutes after one o'clock. Legible signs include: "Shopping Upstairs Finest Specialty Shops Upstairs", "Power Off", "United Cigars", "Marlboro Cigarettes for 20¢", "Hamilton's", "Kodak", and "Tait's".
