Photograph of a group of farm school boys pictured with Rev R.N. Dickson outside a farm school near Montego Bay. The boys are all local Jamaican boys. Farm schools were run under missionary supervision and offered both teaching and practical training. Scottish missionaries worked at Montego Bay from the 19th century and in 1836 the first presbytery of the Jamaican Church was constituted here with a group of 7 missionaries.
