Description
It practically took a ship captain to navigate Jefferson Blvd. at Centinela Avenue, near the Culver City Airport, on February 20, 1941. A number of landing fields were flooded and work had to be halted at the Lockheed plant in Burbank. Here a sign indicates the road is closed, but cars are traveling nevertheless.
