Description
At the time of this 1966 report, the community of Rancho Cordova was still an unincorporated area of Sacramento County. By the mid-1950s Cordova, once agricultural land, grew and urbanized due to its proximity to Mather Air Force Base. As a result, the desire and need to further develop and annex Cordova to the City of Sacramento or the City of Folsom was proposed. This report reflects those wants and needs and details plans for the development of local government, land use, neighborhoods, community facilities, and transportation.
