Description: Hollywood director William Desmond Taylor was murdered Feb. 2, 1922 and the crime went unsolved. This picture shows the handwriting of Edward F. Sands, Taylor's former cook, valet & secretary. He was accused of forging checks using his employer's name while Taylor was in Europe. He then disappeared.
