About 30 persons, mostly black women, and a few children protested Deputy Armstrong's release outside the Criminal Courts building. The group later went up to the courtroom of Judge Nancy Brown who released the Deputy Armstrong, who was accused of shooting a pregnant woman, on his own recognizance. After a few minutes of the proceedings, the group left quietly. Photograph dated April 24, 1982.
