2018-0605. "Part of old Constitutional Saloon Blg. used as the county library later till Woman Club bought the bldg. and remodeled it" -- handwritten on verso. Erected in 1860 or 1861 as the Constitution Saloon; deeded to the Women's Improvement Club of Jackson in 1917; served as Red Cross Headquarters during World War I; became the main office of the County Library.
