Fred Christian who worked for me in the mines and married Lizzie McDonald and fell heir to her father's ranch home at Sawmill Peak, Butte County, California. Lizzie and her sister Catherine McDonald and brother Ed and I played together when we were kids. Fred Christian also looked after the timber in Griffin Gulch, Butte County for me"- written on back by D.B. North.
