Photograph of the exterior view of the Burbank Theater, taken from the east side of Main Street and north of Sixth Street, ca.1903. The theatre is about three-stories tall. Above the entrance, there is a covered balcony. The windows of theatre and several corridors have semi circled arches. To either side of the theatre entrance are stores displaying their products through their windows. Two lampposts on the sidewalk prominently display the current theatre showing. A four people (including a woman with a baby stroller) are peering through the window at Carson's Antique and Curio Bazar (left). Three men stand near the street in front of the bar. Along the curb are two parked bicycles. Legible signs include: "10 cent palmist, who you will marry", "clairvoyant palmist", "544, Carson's antique and curio bazaar, 544", "Winkler Curio Co., wholesale & retail", "546", "mfrs. of Cal. wood & shell novelties", "matinees, Saturday, Sunday", "bar", "18, The Burbank, 93", "performance to night", "Morosco's Burbank Theatre, week starting Jan. 8, Sunday matinee, Burbank Stock Company, presenting the merriest of all comedies, 'My Wife's Husbands', regular matinees Saturday and Sunday, prices 10 cents & 25 cents, no higher, evening prices 10 cents, 25 cents, 35 cents and 50 cents".
