Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles, looking west on Sixth Street from the Pacific Electric Building, January 1, 1907. Sixth street is at right and is divided by two sets of streetcar tracks. It is bordered by tall buildings, including the large brick Southern Pacific Building, which is in the foreground at center. A hill is in the background, and several houses can be seen mixed in among many trees. A long mountain range can be seen in the distance. There are no people visible, and there are puddles on the sides of the streets. Legible signs include, from left to right: "Southern Pacific Tickets Freight", "Offices this Building", "Occidental L[?", and "Mackie Frederick Co.".
